Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Counseling can be beneficial to individuals, families and couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationships. Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home with both couples at a time that is convenient for you through our easy scheduling platform.
Psychological testing can be conducted with children as young as 18-months old. Assessments are curtailed to the individual needs of the child or adult, and length of time necessary to complete testing will vary from one to four hours. This may require more than one visit to our office. Testing can be done for a large variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism. Please inquire to see how we can help!
When seeking legal guardianship of a developmentally-disabled adult, most court systems in Michigan require a psychological assessment of the individual in question. We work closely with Jackson County and Hillsdale County court systems to help families seek guardianship of their loved one. We can also recommend Probate attorneys that may be able to help you navigate the process. In addition, if you are seeking Social Security Disability through the State of Michigan, we can provide an Independent Medical Evaluation that may be helpful in obtaining these benefits. These services cannot be billed to insurance companies and must be paid out-of-pocket. There is no guarantee that using these services will result in guardianship or SSDI approval.
Autism is a growing diagnosis and many parents are increasingly concerned about their children exhibiting symptoms of the disorder. Through the use of "gold standard" assessment tools, we can help establish an accurate diagnosis for your child and make recommendations for treatment, should it be appropriate. Be prepared for a total of two to three office visits in addition to a telehealth intake appointment to fully complete the testing process. While we work with most insurance companies for testing, some have specific requirements for diagnosis and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Please have your insurance information ready when you call so we can give the most accurate information.
